I’ve never taken a class online. What is it like?
Courses in the Online Program have the same content as the traditional classroom courses. The only difference is that the course material is delivered within a virtual learning environment called Canvas.
Class materials, including lectures, assignments, discussions, and exams, are available in the online learning system. After enrolling, you'll receive Canvas training and login details. Online courses don’t require specific login times, but professors typically offer "office hours" for student discussions.
Will I need to be online at designated times?
No, Limestone University’s Online Program is designed for working adults who need flexibility in their schedule. There is no need to log on to the internet at any specific time, as long as you log in each week to receive and complete your assignments. The courses are flexible, allowing you to complete the coursework at your convenience during the 7.5-week term.
What if I’ve already taken courses at another college, can I transfer that credit?
Yes, in general, students can transfer up to 76 semester hours from regionally accredited two-year colleges and up to 90 hours from regionally accredited four-year colleges to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
